Today Kasen is six weeks old!! I cannot believe it has been that long already. Shelby seemed to have grown up the minute he was here. She says such grown up things now. I was telling her something I thought was amusing and her response to me was a sarcastic "Really, are you kidding me?!" I didn't know what to do. Do I laugh because she did it just like I do or do I cry because she's too grown up for silly stuff? Who knew Kenneth and I would be living in Corning Arkansas with a dog and two kids. Wow, how our goals have changed.

These are just a few pictures of Kasen's first few weeks at home. He was born 3 1/2 wks early and had to be airlifted to Arkansas Children's hospital. We were there for 8 days while they treated him for a collapsed lung. Having a child in the NICU at Children's wasn't enough for us though! Just four days before I had Kasen, unexpectedly, Kenneth crushed his foot. He coulnt walk at all for 6 wks, so I spent my time pushing him around in a wheelchair at the hospital. Dont try it, it's not so great for healing purposes!! Anyway, we are home now and all seems to be well in our new house and new town, except for the agonizing abscence of our friends and family back home.
